THE Chilton Army Cadet Force has proved so popular that it needs to move into bigger premises.
But leaders of the group, which has members from Chilton and Ferryhill, fear there may not be anywhere suitable in the village.
The group has 23 members, boys and girls, aged from 12, and meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 7pm to 9pm, at Chilton Methodist Chapel.
Activities are mostly military based, but include Duke of Edinburgh award scheme work, sports, fun days and weekends away.
Sergeant Alan Colville said: "We have got 23 members and more coming, and I'm struggling with the space I've got, so I'm looking for larger premises. I need somewhere with something we can use as a parade ground, an office and other rooms."
Anyone who can help the cadets is asked to contact Sgt Colville at the Methodist Chapel, Durham Road, Chilton.
