A GROUP looking after the needs of disabled people has been given a say in the design of Bishop Auckland's £16m Asda store.
Staff from the company will be holding talks with members of Wear Valley Disability Access Forum, which represents people with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, the elderly, carers and parents of young children.
Co-ordinator Anne Cowie welcomed the partnership, saying it was an exciting opportunity for the forum to be consulted on the project.
The store, at Wilson's Forge, South Church Road, is due to open by the end of the year.
The forum can be contacted at Crook Business Centre, on (01388) 763994.
