AHOY there, me hearties! There will be pirate fun aplenty at Saltburn's second annual Swashbuckle event on Sunday.
The Redcar and Cleveland Council-organised free fun day, from 10am to 5pm, will feature a best-dressed pirate parade, a buccaneer talent contest and a pirate-themed sports afternoon with relay races, water cannon marathons and other Jolly Roger japes.
There will also be live music and performances outside the Smugglers Heritage Centre and the Ship Inn, with Richard Grainger and the Stormy Weather Boys, Red Beard the Pirate, Yorkshire Coast Morris Dancers and the Great North Clogg Dancers.
At 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm there will be a Punch and Judy show, plus a host of fun and games in a cordoned-off area of the sands.
At the town's Valley Gardens there will be DJs, magic shows, circus skills, children's rides and kite-making.
Event organiser Joanne Hodgson said a good turnout was expected. "It was a brilliant day last year and we're sure everyone will have twice as much fun this time around.
"We want to make the Swashbuckle an annual event and the support we've had so far means we're confident it can be sustained. There really is something for everyone."
