Newcastle United will meet either Lillestrom of Norway or Bosnian side Zeljeznicar in the third qualifying round of the Champions League after this morning's draw in Switzerland.
Bobby Robson's men play the away leg first on August 13 or 14, with the return at St. James' Park on August 27 or 28.
After the draw, Robson gave his reaction to the club's official website: "The first team out of the hat were Sportling Lisbon, and we didn't fancy them much, but when it comes to a draw of this kind you have no choice and have to accept what you are given.
"I know Lillestrom are a good team, but I don't know much about Zeljeznicar. However, it doesn't matter which of the teams we play.
"We will play with confidence and passion in order to progress into the group stages of the Champions League."
Elsewhere Manchester United will face either Zalaegerszegi of Hungary or NK Zagreb of Croatia, whilst Scottish champions Celtic face either Zilina (Slovakia) or Basel (Switzerland).
