A PENSIONER is appealing to anyone who has information on the whereabouts of his dog.
Robert Bowtell, 65, of Ferryhill, left his canine companion, Jack, in his garden on Friday night last week, but when he returned the animal was missing.
Jack is a white Jack Russell with a coloured patch on its right eye and right shoulder.
The pensioner, who is partially- sighted, said the dog was his closest companion and a gift from his granddaughter.
Mr Bowtell, said: "My granddaughter is absolutely devastated. Jack Russells are generally snappy, but he is an exception. He is a lovely dog."
Anyone with information is asked to telephone (01740) 655117.
