A GROUP of singers from Saltburn are offering their services to hospitals and residential homes in the area.

They want to take live music to people who do not usually have access to it, and say they will create concert programmes to reflect the tastes of their audiences.

Professional opera singer Jeanette Wainwright has been working with the group for the past two years.

"Many were very scared of singing before they started having lessons," she said.

"Now they are enthusiastic about getting together to share their voices.

"Very often there are people in hospitals or residential accommodation who don't have any opportunity to enjoy singing."
