A COUPLE received first aid treatment from paramedics after an early morning blaze at their home yesterday.
The fire, the cause of which is still being investigated, happened at a house in East Holme Drive, Rawcliffe, York, when a wooden shed caught fire and was destroyed and spread to a brick-built garage causing severe damage.
The fire damaged the gable end of the house and the couple, who have not been named, were given treatment after being overcome by smoke.
