A NATURE reserve is getting ready to welcome the public tomorrow.
The Whinnies Nature Reserve, near Darlington, is offering free activities for families at its summer fair.
Attractions will include wood turning and willow garden structure demonstrations. There will also be quizzes and activities, pond dipping, a drawing competition, kite making and staff and volunteers will be creating a newt habitat area.
The Darlington Borough Council-owned nature reserve will be staging the event between 11am and 3pm
The reserve is situated alongside the A67, between Darlington and Teesside Airport.
