A MONTHLY farmers' market in Guisborough, east Cleveland, would offer farmers a low cost venue to sell locally-produced goods.
The owners of Pinchinthorpe Hall plan to set up a monthly market and use an adjacent field as an overspill car park.
Director George Tinsley told a North York Moors National Park planning committee that it was intended to hold a monthly Sunday market when all goods would be locally produced or processed by stallholders. It would offer farmers a low expense venue.
The plan was approved with conditions that further permission would be needed if it became a weekly event.
