THE chairwoman of the Department of Health's National Treatment Agency will be in the region today to see how a borough is tackling drug addiction.
Baroness Massey will meet the leader of Stockton Borough Council, Councillor Bob Gibson, and the council's chief executive, George Garlick, as well as the 12 co-ordinators of the North-East's Drug Action Teams.
There will also be NHS and community representatives at the meeting.
This afternoon, she will visit the Fulcrum Medical Practice, at the Lawson Street Health Centre, Stockton, to see the treatment services on offer to addicts in the town.
