THE next meeting of Darlington's Farmwatch scheme will be at the St George Hotel, Teesside Airport, on Tuesday, August 27.
The scheme, set up following the success of similar ones in County Durham, involves farmers calling each other with information about suspicious people or crimes.
Police also inform them of any operations in the area.
The National Canine Defence League's rescue centre in Sadberge has joined the scheme after being the victim of rural crime.
The meeting had been originally scheduled to take place on Monday, August 26, but was moved to the following evening, at 7pm, to avoid the bank holiday.
Anyone interested in joining the scheme can call Jane Wood on (01325) 346832
