Neil McLachlan and Rebecca Ellis won two rubbers while the partnership of John Padbury and skipper Cath Place halved their encounter.
Harrogate Racquets B team have clinched promotion to Division Two following their 5-4 home win over Harlow.

Andrew Christie and Rose Somerton beat Shackleton and Couture 6-3; beat McGuinness and Ottaway 6-3, 6-5; beat Laforgia and Munt 6-1, 6-3.
Racquets are now level on points with The Academy A team at the top of Division Three. The championship seems likely to be going to The Academy who have a vital match in hand on Racquets.
