SCULPTOR David Gross is working on his latest piece in the grounds of a medieval manor house in Durham.
Mr Gross is creating a large kestrel from reclaimed oak at Crook Hall as part of the Art in the Garden exhibition.
The sculpture has been commissioned by the Friends of Chopwell Woods and will be sited on a 15ft-high oak tree trunk overlooking a valley.
Visitors to the exhibition can see him working on the sculpture at the hall this Sunday and on the following two Sundays, August 18 and 25.
The exhibition runs throughout August and is open every day except Saturday 1pm to 5pm. Admission is £3.80 for adults, £3 concessions and £9.80 for a family ticket.
