Stephen Gale was in superb form for Dawdon when they hosted Murton. The talented youngster carried his bat for 101 out of a total of 145 for three before Murton were restricted to 85 for five as Anthony Monahan claimed two for just ten runs in four overs.
Liam Brown was just three runs short of a century when Castle Eden met Easington. He struck two sixes and ten boundaries in an undefeated 97 and 46 from Christopher Bradley, with five fours, enabled Castle Eden to total 136 for the loss of just one wicket.
Easington, in contrast struggled for runs and managed just 52 as Graham Stonebank captured three for ten urns in two overs and Michael Ridley also bowled a couple of overs returning two for 13.
Paul Howe was another batsman in top form but he as unable to steer Silksworth to victory at Seaham Park who won by 18 runs.
Faced with a target of 131, Howe gave Silksworth a chance when he finished with 85 not out but when Anthony Ord took three for just nine runs in four overs, the Silksworth innings ended on 112 for six.
When they made first use of the wicket, Seaham Park posted 130 for two as Dean Andrews finished unbeaten on 64 and Tom Riches added 23.
Ian Dixon hit four boundaries in 35 leading Houghton to 111 for four against visitors Boldon CA who were all out for just 54. Carl White captured four for just 17 runs in three overs and Tim Bowman had three for nine from a four over stint.
