Chester-le-Street Under-18s continued their pre-season warm up with a victory at Northern Alliance First Division side Garden Farm (formerly Relton) on Wednesday evening.
An own goal and strikes by Daniel Graham, Paul McDonald and Andrew Coulson earned the Cestrians a comfortable 4-0 victory.
Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that the Under-18s FA Youth Cup match against Southport FC Academy will take place at Moor Park on Thursday, September 5 (7.45pm kick off). As the youth cup competition rules changed last season, the match will be played to conclusion on the night with extra-time and penalties if required.
Chester-le-Street Under-18s are still on the look out for an assistant manager for the new season. Anyone suitably qualified and interested should contact Andrew Muxworthy on (0191) 3703998.
PLAYERS WANTED: Darlington Spraire Lads and Lasses are looking for girls aged between seven to 16-years-old and boys aged between nine and 12 years.
Training is at South Park, Darlington, Parkside entrance on Saturday mornings from 10am to 11.30am. Players should bring with them football kit.
