DETERMINED workmates have raised £3,000 for charity by completing a gruelling physical challenge.
Thirteen men from Reed Boardall Cold Storage, in Boroughbridge, handed the cash to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) after tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
They presented the cheque - right - to the wife of former colleague Trevor Corser, who was diagnosed with the disease a year ago and had to leave his job.
His wife, Liz, who is secretary of the association's North Yorkshire branch, said: "It is absolutely brilliant. We are very touched that Trevor's work colleagues at Reed Boardall rallied together to help us support the MNDA.
"They've put a lot of time and effort into raising this money, which will be put to good use for sufferers of this horrendous disease."
Led by shift supervisor Jim Phillips, the team took about 11 hours to complete the 25-mile walk, which takes in Pen Y Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.
