A WOMAN is appealing to the people of Guisborough and Redcar to provide clues about her family heritage.
Gail Dowson, of Leeds, is hoping to hear from descendants of William Chamberlain and Sarah Chapman who married in 1875 at Guisborough.
The couple had two sons and several daughters and William worked at the Chancellor Pit in Guisborough.
Mrs Dowson said: "One of their daughters, Ethel, was my grandmother and she left Guisborough when she was about 13 to work in service in Harrogate. Apparently, she used to make regular trips to Redcar to meet her family."
Mrs Dowson can be contacted on 0113-250 6976.
