TEENAGE trials and tribulations in the heart of Yorkshire are proving to be a recipe for success for author Julia Clarke.
Between You and Me, the fourth novel in two years to be penned by the Harrogate writer, is published by Oxford University Press this month. Set in Bradford, it tells the story of only child Jade, who uncovers a series of secrets which change her life forever.
Julia, a former actress and teacher who was born in Surrey, said: "I came to live in Yorkshire 25 years ago and fell in love with the place. I did not consciously set out to write about Yorkshire, but the novels are set in places which have made an impression on me."
Her other titles include Summertime Blues, which was set in Fewston, near Harrogate.
