A TEESSIDE firm is about to secure trade worth £200,000 in South Korea, within weeks of travelling there on a trade mission.
Energy Solutions International, of Stockton, joined a trade mission organised by Trade Partners UK, a Goverment organisation which provides support services for UK companies trading overseas.
The company, an engineering consultancy and supplier of e-based management systems to the oil and gas industry, joined the trade mission in March to explore opportunities in South Korea.
It is now in the final stages of contract negotiations with the Korea Gas Corporation to supply tuning and enhancements to its pipeline system, worth about £200,000.
Andrew Wilde, business development director at the company said: "Negotiations are going very well and we are pleased with the progress.
We are now looking to expand and find further pipeline customers and will definitely continue to draw on the expertise of Trade Partners UK to do so."
Benefits of the missions include a travel grant, Trade Partners UK assistance and local advance publicity and the security and support of travelling in a group.
