ARTISTIC volunteers are being encouraged to help brighten up a community hall.
Rural Arts North Yorkshire has almost completed a project to bring a new banner to East Thirsk Community Hall, depicting the wildlife to be found on the town's millennium green.
Community groups and schoolchildren have contributed to the work of art, which will be hung in the hall at the end of the summer.
Volunteers are invited to attend the final workshop, which takes place on Monday, in the old Thirsk courthouse, from 10am to 4pm.
