Film-maker Lord Puttnam will highlight the importance of learning technology for the future of education, at a conference next month.
Lord Puttnam, Chancellor of Sunderland University, will address delegates at the end of the Association of Learning Technology conference, at the university's St Peter's Campus on Monday, and Tuesday, September 9 and 10.
The conference, called ALT-C 2002, will show how new technologies are improving communications between teachers and learners.
It will also include talks and speeches by leading experts from around the world.
