A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after being ound lying unconscious by a busy road.
The 16-year-old girl, who has not been named, was spotted by motorists lying by the Wilton roundabout, near Middlesbrough, on Friday. At first police feared she may have been thrown from a vehicle travelling along the dual carriageway near Lazenby village. She was taken to hospital, but discharged herself.

FUNDRAISING MARCH: Osmotherley Silver Jubilee Band will celebrate its 25th birthday with a fundraising march on Sunday, August 25. The procession will start at the Cat and Bagpipes pub, in East Harley, at 9am and end at Osmotherley. Money raised will be used to buy instruments, music stands, uniforms and to pay for tuition.
BRASS BAND: Murton Colliery Band will perform in Ward Jackson Park, Hartlepool, on Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
