CASH-STRAPPED York charity St William's Foundation, which has the Duke of York as its patron, has gone into partnership with the British Urban Regeneration Association.

The deal secures the foundation's financial future and provides a platform from which the organisation's work can be developed.

The foundation is responsible for delivering the Duke of York's Community Initiative, designed to recognise the efforts of the Yorkshire community to work together.

WEEKEND BREAK-INs: Computers were taken from offices on Leyburn's business park during the weekend while intruders forced their way into outbuildings at Scorton Road, Brompton-on-Swale, between Friday night and Saturday morning, stealing power tools.
