BIKERS have rallied round to organise a fundraising day in aid of an air ambulance organisation.
Members of the Broken Piston Motorcycle Club are looking for people to enter teams of eight for challenges including pie and egg-eating.
The event, at Whitehill Working Men's Club, in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, on Saturday, October 12, will raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Jan Harkins, from the group, which meets on Sundays at The Gallery, Chester Moor, near Chester-le-Street, said two people from each winning team will win a free helicopter ride if the event succeeds in raising £1,000 for the air ambulance.
Ms Harkins said: "We have organised all sorts of games and we're still coming up with ideas. Instead of donkey rides, we may give people rides on the back of motorcycles."
The event runs from 11am to 11pm, and in the evening there will be a disco, when trophies will be handed out to the winners. There will also be raffle of prizes donated by organisations such as MS Motorcycles, Just Harleys and Kawasaki in Newcastle.
To enter a team, call Broken Piston on 0191-389 0937
