MORE than 300 people have been arrested as part of an anti-drugs campaign in Middlesbrough.
The Dealer a Day operation, which started last December, has led to 328 raids against suspected drug dealers in the town.
Drugs with a street value of more than £73,500 have been recovered and more than £61,350 in cash has been seized.
In the latest raids, which took place last week, heroin, amphetamine, cannabis and cannabis resin were seized.
Seven raids took place and five people were arrested for drug possession.
They included a 35-year-old man who was charged with possession of heroin and cannabis resin and bailed to attend Teesside Magistrates Court. A 30-year-old man was charged with possession of heroin and bailed to attend Teesside Magistrates Court. A 55-year-old man was cautioned for possession of amphetamines. A 35-year-old woman was cautioned for possession of cannabis. A 25-year-old woman was released without charge.
