A TEENAGE R alleged to have shot dead a friend with his father's gun goes on trial today.
The 14-year-old Teesside boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have fired an air rifle at Matthew Sheffield, 14, hitting him in the head and causing a fatal brain injury.
The boy will stand trial at the Moot Hall, Newcastle, accused of manslaughter
