A COMPUTER learning centre has welcomed its 4,000th student.
Helen Brooks, from Heighington, enrolled at the Newton Aycliffe Computer Learning Centre last week because she wants to add to her computing qualifications.
The 21-year-old, who has recently gained a BSc honours degree in mathematics from Leeds University, found out about the centre from her father.
She said: "The opening hours are convenient and can fit around absolutely anyone's lifestyle, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
"Because it is in the Thames Shopping Centre, it is so easy to get to from virtually anywhere.''
Centre supervisor Michelle Postma said: "We are thrilled to welcome our 4,000th student since the learning centre's establishment in 1998.
"The amount of visitors we have had through our doors underlines what a success the centre has been, and we look forward to attracting many more."
