A FARMER has been voted in for a third term of office as chairman of a park authority.
Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's planning committee chose Kevin Lancaster as leader and Professor Roy Swanston deputy, at a meeting this week.
Mr Lancaster, from Sedbergh, Cumbria, is also a South Lakeland district councillor, and has been a member of the park group since 1996.
Prof Swanston is a past president of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a former director of English Heritage.
He retired as chairman of the West Hertfordshire Health Authority at the end of March last year and was appointed to the park authority a month later.
