TWINS Kizzy and Zena Kukreja both went home happy after achieving six A grades and a B grade between them.
The sisters, who are pupils at Polam Hall School in Darlington, were among the most achieving A level students this year.
Zena attained four A levels in biology, chemistry, physics and maths as well as an AS level in general studies. Twin Kizzy achieved A grades in chemistry and maths, a B in biology and AS levels in general studies and theatre studies.
Fellow pupil Rachel Turvey, 18, of Staddlebridge, near Northallerton, achieved outstanding success. She gained five As in English, French, chemistry, maths and general studies. She is planning to go to Oxford University to study English and modern languages. She was also placed in the top five for general studies from 28,043 entrants nationwide.
Headteacher Helen Hamilton said: "The girls have worked extremely hard to gain these fantastic and well-deserved results."
