Tow Law Cattle Mart slipped four points behind the third placed, Tow Law New Market A when they were stretched at Esh McKennas before edging through by the odd point. The home side made a great start by taking both trebles points but then could only manage two singles from Dave Hindmoor and Kevin Starr. The Mart levelled the match with singles wins from Colin Boughey, Joe Jordan, Alan Breen and Stephen Boughey. The visitors went to victory when they took two of the three doubles points.
The three leading teams all recorded big wins leaving Hamilton Row Black Horse in pole position with a three points lead over Newhouse Club, who are one point ahead of Tow Law New Market A.
The leading individual scorers were J. Jordan with 180 and two 140's, S. Boughey 160 and 140 and M. Boughey two 140's for the Cattle Mart, J. Smythe two 140's and A. Riley 140 and a bull finish for the Comedian, W. Anderson 140 for the Earl Derby and K. Robson 140 for the Stag's Head. The best double starts of the week came from J. Hodgson and K. Robson of the Stag's Head with 120 each.
