MALE workers at Darlington Borough Council are being urged to find out more about testicular and prostate cancer.
Darlington Primary Care Trust (PCT) is working with the council and South Durham Health Care NHS Trust to organise an awareness event it believes could save lives.
The session will be held at the council's Hundens Lane depot on Monday, from noon to 4.30pm, giving men the chance to ask questions. There will also be advice on self-examination.
Colin Morris, the PCT's chief executive, said: "Every young man should know how to check himself, and if worried get in touch with his GP."
The men's session will be followed by a women-only session between 3.30pm and 4.30pm to help women check their partners
