A DURHAM charity shop is holding a wine and cheese evening for volunteers, customers and donors.
The event will be held at the Cancer Research UK store in Silver Street on Wednesday, August 28, from 5.30pm to 7pm.
The store will be selling new, as well as second-hand, goods from the start of September.
It hopes the evening will attract people interested in being volunteers.
Store manager Colette McCormick said: "It looks set to be a great evening.
"We shall be getting together and relaxing for once. Usually the team are all hard at work raising funds for vital cancer research. It will be lovely to let our hair down.
"Even locals who haven't popped in to us lately are welcome.
"It's a joint effort by customers, donors and volunteers which keeps the store fund-raising.'
