FIREFIGHTERS were called to West House Farm, near Bishop Middleham, on Saturday night after a combine harvester caught fire. A crew from Spennymoor put out the fire, which severely damaged the machine.
CHEESE AND WINE: A grand auction with a cheese and wine evening will be held in St James the Great church hall, Albert Hill, Darlington, on Friday. It will follow 7pm Mass and people are asked to take items to auction. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children.
