CHILDREN from Darlington have been taking part in two sport summer camps.
The tennis and hockey camps are being held this week at the Eastbourne Sports Complex.
Sport England, through the National Lottery, funded the two-day hockey event which began yesterday and continues today.
The session, run by Darlington Hockey Club, aim to get more young people interested in the game.
The tennis camp is being held all week and has attracted 30 children.
Janet Cooper, sports development officer for Darlington Borough Council said: "Both camps have been really successful and have helped us promote sport in the town to a variety of children, as well as keeping them entertained during the school holidays.
