BURGLARS raided a Darlington house and then made off with the owners' van.
The thieves broke into the house in Milton Street between 7pm on Friday and 1pm on Sunday, after forcing open a back door into the kitchen.
They stole a Goodmans television and DVD player, a Grundig Sky digital box, a computer, a Playstation 2, a CD player and other electrical items.
The stolen items were loaded into the white Bedford Midi van, registered G279 EVN, which was then driven away.
In a separate incident, thieves made off with electrical equipment worth more than £500 when they burgled a house in Swinburne Road.
The thieves struck between last Tuesday and Sunday. They took a Roadstar video recorder, a combined Matsui television and video recorder, a Nintendo Game Cube, a Nintendo Gameboy and games.
Anyone with information about either incident is urged to contact Darlington police on (01325) 742108 or 742155, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
