A TEA party is being held next month for toy dogs and their owners from across the region.
The Yorkshire Terrier Rescue and Rehoming charity in the North-East is hosting the event to raise money for its work.
Owners of small dogs from throughout the region are invited to join in the event at the Grange in Hurworth, near Darlington, on Sunday, September 1.
There will be shows and competitions for the dogs to enter including prettiest dog and waggiest tails as well as an agility and obedience test.
Specialist breeders will be bringing some more unusual dogs to the show and veterinary nurses will be on hand to give animals the once-over.
There will also be a variety of stalls and games.
The North-East branch of the charity is run by Jean Young, of Darlington, and Amanda Pearson, of Osmotherley, North Yorkshire.
Mrs Young said: "The idea behind the tea party is to raise awareness of our work and to raise money for the charity.
"We rely on a lot of support from volunteers to make sure we can rescue and rehome as many Yorkshire terriers as possible.
"We would be delighted to see small dogs and their owners at Hurworth as well as anyone who is interested in our work."
Events at Hurworth Grange will run from 10am until 4pm and all are welcome.
