ARTISTIC volunteers have been working together to help to brighten up their local community hall.
Rural Arts North Yorkshire has been co-ordinating the project which has almost completed the creation of a colourful new banner to be displayed at East Thirsk Community Hall.
The banner depicts the range of wildlife to be found on the town's millennium green.
Various community groups and local schoolchildren have all contributed to the hand-painted work of art, which is due to be hung in the hall at the end of summer.
