BUDDING cricketers were put through their paces by the experts last week as part of a leisure centre's summer of fun activities.
Fifty youngsters from across the region were given top tips by Yorkshire Cricket Club coach Phil Staves at a three-day school run by Hambleton Leisure Centre in Northallerton.
The school is one of a string of activities to be run by the district council during the scxhool holidays. More than 700 young people have participated in events so far.
