THE man Hula Hoops "plucked" from obscurity to become the face of the snack brand has visited the region as part of the firm's efforts to make him one of the most memorable faces in the country.
Steve Thelfall, 20, the star of this bizarre marketing campaign, handed out free Hula-Hoops, T-shirts and photographs to shoppers at Mills Newsagent and Convenience store in Stockton.
Steve was chosen as "a young man with a bright future" to head the campaign. He visited the store after a tour of the KP factory in Billingham.
The store's reward for selling an "exceptional" amount of Hula Hoops was a signed pair of Y-fronts, as Steve loves his Y-fronts so much.
