THE decision to refuse planning permission for an extension at a North Kilvington farm is to go to an appeal.
Mr and Mrs I Parry want to alter and extend an existing dwelling at the Old Byre, Quorndon Farm.
Hambleton councillors said the application went against the local plan, would have an adverse effect on the countryside, and would erode the rural character of the building, damaging the scenic quality of the landscape.
Mr and Mrs Parry have now decided to appeal against the decision to the Secretary of State.
