WATER sport fans from around the country will be converging on the North-East at the weekend for a round of the National GP Jet Ski Championships.
The competition takes place on Saturday and Sunday, between 10am and 4pm, at the Tees Barrage, near Stockton.
Spectators will be able to see the whole of the event from the main viewing area for free.
The event is one of a series in the national championships during which jet skiers accumulate points from a variety of circuits.
It is expected there will be more than 100 competitors, the best in the country, taking part.
Sky Television is expected to be broadcasting the event live during the two days of the competition.
