CIRCUS SKILLS, salsa dancing and yoga are on offer during an eight-week healthy lifestyle course starting next month.
The course, which is available for anyone over the age of 16 and costs £18, runs every Monday from September 23 to November 11 at the Adult Education Centre, Corporation Road, Redcar. The programme is as follows: week one, body conditioning/aerotone; week two, a local walk; week three, look after yourself - health information; week four, circus skills; week five, tai-chi; week six, Indian head massage; week seven, salsa dancing; week eight, yoga. CHARITY SALE: Help the Aged charity shops on Teesside are holding a week-long sale from Thursday. The charity says its 368 shops across the country will be offering good quality clothing at extremely low prices during the week.
SEASIDE SEARCH: A community group is going on a Whitby Scavenger Hunt later this month. Youngsters from the Blue Hall area of Stockton are invited to the day trip on Wednesday, August 28. Run by the Forge Community Resource Centre, a minibus leaves at 9.30am and should return to the centre, in Somerset Road, Norton Grange, by 4pm. Youngsters can take a small amount of money for ice creams or sweets.
LICENCE BACKED: Stockton Borough Council's licensing committee has approved plans to grant an entertainment licence for two nights a week at The Penny Black pub, Ellerton Road, Hartburn. The licence will allow singing, dancing and sports entertainment.
