A NEST camera is beaming live video pictures to twitchers eager to see the first pair of bee-eaters in the UK for almost 50 years.
Birdwatchers from around the country have descended on Bishop Middleham, Sedgefield, to watch the birds, which recently mated near the village quarry.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has set up a public viewing point at nearby Farnless Farm for bird watchers, complete with telescopes for those who want a closer look.
The public viewpoint can be reached by going along the A177 Sedgefield to Durham road and then following the bee-eaters sign. For webcam images visit www.rspb.org.uk
