TWO East Cleveland teenagers are celebrating top A-level successes - as is the college they attended.
Emma Wilson, 18, from Redcar, a student at Redcar and Cleveland College, has gained two A grades in chemistry and maths and a B grade in biology, along with an A grade in AS level further maths.
She is to study medicine at the University of Durham, Stockton campus, in conjunction with the University of Newcastle. David Bradley, 18, from Saltburn achieved three A grades in government politics, history and English literature and is off to Strathclyde University from where, he hopes, to go on to teaching in further education.
Emma said: "I am delighted with my results, particularly as they now mean that I can go on to study medicine.
"I have always been interested in science and chemistry so medicine seems like the natural route to take.''
David said: "I am so pleased that I have achieved three A's as I worked very hard towards them."
College Principal, Alan Old, said: "I would like to congratulate and thank both students and teachers alike for their hard work and determination.
"Our students have received fantastic results and we are pleased to say that the majority of our students are going on to higher education."
