Philadelphia had just ten runs to spare when they visited Consett.
Batting first the Foster's ECB North East Premier League side realised 92 for the loss of eight wickets and Jon Grant top scored with 32 while for Consett Holliday captured five wickets for 21 runs for an inspired spell of bowling. Replying Consett were in with a chance but when Willie Orchin took a hat-trick the innings ended on 82 for eight. Orchin's figures finished at four for 21 and for Consett man of the match Holliday top scored with 38.

Hetton Lyons had 11 runs to spare defeating South Shields in a rearranged fixture. Batting first the Lyons ended on 97 fir seven of which Alan Loscombe contributed an unbeaten 50 finding the boundary line on four occasions. Arrowsmith bowled well in the Shields attack taking three for 26 from six overs.
When they went into bat South Shields found the bowling of Darren Jarvis and Gary Adey problematic and they were restricted to 86 for the loss of nine wickets. Jarvis bowled four overs taking four wickets for 20 runs and Adey was particularly economical, his six overs costing 14 runs for three wickets.
Marsden had 20 runs in hand of Eppleton even though they made 88 as Atkinson captured four wickets for 30 runs in five overs.
Eppleton though found runs even more difficult to come by and were pegged to 68 for eight as David Stewart picked up three wickets for seven runs in four overs and Amer took three for 11, also in a four overs stint.
