RESIDENTS of the Granville Road area of Middlesbrough are holding a jubilee carnival tomorrow.
It will be held at the University of Teesside car park and events will include a children's Royal pageant with robes and crowns made from recycled materials.
The recycling organisation Percy, which is based in Middlesbrough, has been working with children from Granville Road who will start the carnival at 1pm. They will parade down Granville Avenue to the university car park.
Endeavour Housing Association owns about 100 houses in Granville Road, and they are supporting the second annual garden competition.
Jayne Soppitt, community initiatives co-ordinator, said: "People have a terrific sense of pride in their gardens, and judges will have a really difficult job again this year."
