A WEEKEND of unusual crafts and hands-on activities will be held at a North-East museum this weekend.
On Saturday, visitors to Bede's World, in Jarrow, will be able to see Woodhorn Colliery Matters demonstrating the craft of proggy mat making from 11am to 4.30pm.
From noon to 5pm on Sunday, experts will be on hand to show people how to weave baskets, with beekeeping, medieval archery and woodturning on bank holiday Monday from 10.30am to 5pm.
The museum is offering three-day tickets, which mean a family of four can visit every day for one payment of £11.50. It normally costs £9 each day.
