THE launch of an Intranet by Business Link's Tees Valley offices hopes to improve internal communications across all departments.
The internal website, which holds more than 200 pages of information, was designed and developed by Business Link's information technology operational support co-ordinator, Nujcharee Haswell.
Staff at Business Link's Tees Valley offices will have access to the site, which has already proved useful for keeping mobile workers up-to-date with the organisation's activities and news.
It is hoped the site will reduce the amount of time spent researching or looking for paper documents, and on administrative duties, as it has been developed as the primary location for contact information and website links.
Ms Haswell said: "The benefits of the Intranet can already be seen through improved internal communication and increased awareness of the objectives and performance of functions within Business Link.
"Looking to the future, Business Link would like to see a reduction in paper documentation, with 'virtual' documents being completed, approved, updated and stored on the intranet."
