Willington Boys beat league newcomers Meadowfield 6-0 in a friendly in preparation for the new season which starts on Saturday, August 31. Both sides were missing several players.
Earlier, Willington defeated Sunday morning senior side Willington Cottles 4-1.
"All our youth teams have found it difficult to arrange pre-season games because of holidays," said Willington under-18 manager Rob Lee. At his request, Willington will be the odd team out without a fixture on August 31 - there are nine teams in the league - because of players being away on holiday.
Weekly training sessions will continue as Lee gets his lads ready for the new campaign. Lee has a squad of 18 players, including six from last season.
Willington finished fourth in the league last season but won all three cups associated with the league as well as reaching the final of the Durham Youth Cup
