A GROUP of women from the Yorkshire Dales has been discovering more about the workings of the region's front-line fighter base.
Members of Coverdale Women's Institute visited the airbase at Leeming, near Bedale, as guests of the RAF. They examined a Tornado F3 operated by XI (Fighter) Squadron, and were also given an insight into the work of the air traffic control.
